TWIST!
I had the most AMAZING weekend... went for the TWIST music conference and it was incredible!!!! I was a little apprehensive cos i went alone... u know how all these conferences, are normally attended by a whole music teams... well.. i'm kinda part of no team here so... i decided to go anyway... after all , how bad can it be at a gathering of God's people who share the same love for music? =) and God didnt disappoint me (as usual... its normally me that's the faithless worry wart sigh) Learnt a lot a lot a lot, both theologically and practically!! I went for workshops on how to play bass guitar (YEAH!!!!! i am DEFINITELY getting a bass guit/amp and i'm so gonna give it a go haha... anyone knows anyone who is looking to sell?), band arrangement (incredible incredible stuff... the musos were so so so so talented.. i'm not talking abt the workshop leaders... i'm talking abt the participants!!!!) and another one on song writing... haha i'm gonna give that one a go too... soon i hope! praying for a muse =) There is a lot to write about TWIST... these few lines really dont do it any justice... so i will put that up very very very soon... however... it sparked me to do a bit of recording cos one of the songs really captured me... pardon the poor quality ( i dun even have a line-in inlet on my laptop and i'm using a mic one...that's how bad the quality is!!!) ... i dun have the software nor appropriate equipment with me... and i dun think i got all the lyrics right... this is from memory! so if u kinda dig it... look out for the new EMU live album that will be out in 2-3 mths!
